Get Ready for Wednesday...

Wednesday will be a fun filled day for Park staff and students.  Not only is it Valentine's Day...Park's School Council is hosting a dance a thon and Student Council is hosting a spirit day.  So wear something with red, white, pink and/or something neon so you can glow while you dance the day away!  Thank you to Park's School and Student Council's for hosting these great events for us!  Don't forget those pledges for the dance a thon!

Construction on Harold Street begins Wed.

Construction on Harold Street (behind the school) will commence Wednesday this week (Feb. 7).  Parking will not be permitted on Harold Street from the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
We strongly advise parents to please not use this area as a drop off and pick up for students while construction is going on. Also, please discuss the importance of staying away from the construction with your children for their safety. If you have used this area as a walk thru, please ensure you make alternate arrangements while construction is going on.

Dance a thon donations done on School Cash Online are completed thru the Donation Module.
The following instructions are on the back of the dance a thon envelope:   
  • Sign in to https://hdsb.schoolcashonline.com    
  • From Home Page enter ITEMS    
  • Select Make a Donation    
  1. Select or enter amount   
  2. Fund Destination is:  Park P.S.    
  3. Change "This gift is" to:  In honor of    
  4. Change "Name of Honoree" to:  Student's First and Last Name    
  5. Add "Message":  Dance a thon

Kindergarten - The Early Development Instrument

Parents and guardians know that young children can be at different stages of readiness as they begin school.  In order to better understand readiness-to-learn as an outcome of early childhood development, the Ministry of Education is implementing the Early Development Instrument (EDI) project in all publicly funded elementary schools with Kindergarten programs during the 2017-18 school year.  Click on FDK above for details.

Park's Lunch Programs

We are currently looking at new lunch program options for students.  Let's give them a try for term 3 which begins after March Break.  Stay tuned - details to come next week.

Hot Dog Day was a success!

Hot Dog Day in Support of the Halton Learning Foundation was a success today!  Thank you to Kimberlee McNally-Stone and her team of volunteers for hosting this event which raised $573.00 for the Foundation and to the McNally family and Maple Lodge Farms for their generous donations.  

Author visit's Park on Tuesday

Register between 8:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m.  Click on Parent Info/Registrations for required documents and FDK for programming details.  Please ensure that you bring all original documentation with you to register - registrations cannot be processed without it.
